The Dublin & District Lions Club (A9) is deeply saddened to advise of the passing on charter member Donald MacRae on March 11, 2016 in his 95th year. Lion Don held numerous Club offices including Club President and had achieved 40 years of perfect attendance. He served District A9 as Zone Chairperson and Deputy District Governor. Lion Don was a Melvin Jones Fellow. He was a recipient of the Helen Keller Award and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. He was commonly known as the ticket man as he never went anywhere without a book of tickets in his pocket for sale.
