There was an attempt to organize a Campus Club at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry (a natural with the local eye screening activities). Unfortunately, it appears to require University management approval before anything can get underway.
Things looked really good, working with local officials, but the effort wwas staleld when it was discovered that the top breass at the University were required to approve the effort first.
Moral of the story is you must start at the top, then work down. And that is often much harder than "motivating the troops."
