LIONS:
It is with deep sadness that the Blyth Lions Club (A9) advises of the passing of Lion Gord Jenkins on February 15, 2017 at the age of 78 years.

Lion Gord joined the Blyth Lions Club in 1970 and served two terms as Club President, 1974-75 & 1983-84. He served as a District A9 Committee Chairperson for two years. He was the Chairperson for the Blyth Lions Club Youth Exchange Program for many years and he and his wife, Pat, served as a host family for several youth from around the world. He was a Leo Adviser to the Blyth Leo Club. Over the years Lion Gord sponsored several new members into the Club including both his sons, Joel and Devin. He is a Melvin Jones Fellow, a Life Member of Lions Foundation of Canada and a Life member of Multiple District ‘A’ Lions. In 2016 the Provincial Government presented him with a Volunteer Service Award to recognize his 45 years of service work in the community. He is survived by his wife, Patricia, and family.

A Lions Service was held at the Wingham Sportsman Club on Monday, February 20, 2017.
