Peacefully at his home, surrounded by the love of his family on Tuesday December 2nd 2014, in his 74th year. Beloved husband and best friend for 55 ½ years to Joan Maureen Moore. Loving father of Wendy (Don) Marshall of North Bay, Scott (Heather) Moore of Kirkland Lake, Christopher (Laurie) Moore of Brantford, Michael (Anna) Moore of Brantford, and Mark (Angel) Moore of St. George. Cherished grandfather of Jordan and Stephen Marshall, Ryan, Joshua, and Meghan Moore, Kyle, Korey, and Nicholas Moore, Sasha, Jamin, Jonah, and Zachary Moore, Spencer, Joel, and Samantha Moore. Treasured great-grandfather of Devon Gauthier. Dear brother of the late Jack Moore, and survived by his sister Pat Moore (Jim Munro) of Brantford. Predeceased by his parents Russell and Violet Moore. Also lovingly missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Dan was a dedicated and proud member of Lions Clubs International, where he contributed in many ways toward the betterment of his community for over 40 years. He was also a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus St. Basils Council, and a 4th Degree member and Past Faithful Navigator of the MSGR P.J. Maloney Assembly. Family and friends will be received at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. N., on Friday December 5th from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 p.m. A Lions Service will be held in honour of Dan, on Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Basil’s Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace St., Brantford, on Saturday December 6th at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Holy Cross Cemetery will take place at a later time. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory of Dan made to the Lions Foundation (Dog Guides), the Knights of Columbus, or the CNIB would be gratefully appreciated.

It is suggested that Lions try and gather @ 6:15 if you are wishing to attend the Lions Service.
Once again please keep Lion Dan's family in your thoughts and prayers.
