The Friendship Arch began as a symbol of the friendship between the Lions of the USA
and the Lions of Canada. It is now used to symbolize the friendship of Lions to the
communities in which they live and serve.

Pictured below is an example of an Arch installed by the Pefferlaw Lions Club to
commemorate the service of Lions to the Community and the sacrifice of members of the
Community in the First and Second World Wars and the Korean War.
